Optical Engineer

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the development of technology and products.
  • Working on projects from the concept development stage to the product delivery stage.
  • Playing a primary role in implementing designs to meet the technology specs and customer needs.
  • Responsible for the technical project management.
  • Submitting proposals that are in response to the DoD Program.
  • Assisting in the development of the company’s new business ventures.

Requirements:

  • M.S./Ph.D in optical engineering or Physics.
  • 3+ years in industry experience in EO component and system design;
  • Strong experience in developing technology and concept proposals
  • Strong skills in optical phased array (OPA) and/or liquid crystal optical phased array (LC-OPA), optical beam steering device, computer controlling software, and electronics are desired.
  • Knowledge of liquid crystal materials, optical polymers, and display is a plus.
  • Strong background in theory and hands on hardware and lab experience a plus.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • U.S. citizen or green card holder is preferred.

Electronics Engineer

Job description:

  • Perform research and development on electronic applications for the optical beam steering (BSD) control system.
  • Design and develop electronic control unit for tunable filter system with automatic temperature feedback loop.
  • Develop computer-controlled driver for liquid crystal display.
  • Develop control electronics and algorithms for multi-spectral scene projector.
  • Develop electronics and software with 32, 64, 128 channels independent controls.
  • Develop data acquisition and spectrum analysis software.
  • Assist in other projects that may require computer and electronics related skills and create new technologies and submit proposals for seeking funding and/or cooperation from government and private companies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • One year prior experience in job offered or electronic engineering related occupation.
